Rock Legend Confirmed to Set the Stage on Fire at The Game Awards

Iconic and revered rock legend Sting is all ready to set the stage on fire at this year’s iteration of The Game Awards. His performance will be amongst the many musical features planned for the gaming award ceremony; the 17-time Grammy winner has had a long and illustrious musical career, and his presence will certainly increase the show’s appeal.

Sting all set to perform at The Game Awards

Popular game journalist Geoff Keighley took to a Twitter post to announce the legend’s presence for the event. He will also be the host of the event.

The rockstar will perform a rendition of his song, “What Could Have Been.” The song has its own association with the gaming community. The song is featured in the popular Netflix series, “Arcane.”

Arcane is the adaptation of the famous Riot Games developed title League of Legends. The show has more good news headed towards its way; Arcane is renewed for a second season on the massive streaming platform.

The Game Awards 2021 will premier on Thursday, December 9. The venue will be the acclaimed Microsoft Theater based in Los Angeles. While there is a live, in-person audience present, there are no tickets available. The event will, however, stream on popular platforms such as Twitch and YouTube. The timings for the event are 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

Sting has had a deep track record of releasing phenomenal titles. He has managed to snatch the Award of Merit in the American Music Awards. He has also succeeded in nabbing the Best British Solo Artist alongside the Best British Album at the Brit Awards.

This legend is not the only one performing for The Game Awards, his performance will be joined by the likes of The Game Awards’ Orchestra.

Nominees for Game of the Year

This year features a phenomenal lineup for The Game Awards. There are six contenders for the title of Game of the Year. They are, Resident Evil Village, Ratchet and Clank: A Rift Apart, It Takes Two, Metroid Dream, and, Psychonauts 2.

Adding on, there are more than 107 nominations sprawling across different categories.
