Watch unlucky Newcastle fan get booted in face by ball in stands during Amazon Prime’s live coverage of Norwich draw

Fellow fans around him flinched as the ball flew off in another direction, but the fan managed to style it out.

One footy fan said on Reddit: “Took it like an absolute champ to be fair…”

Another said: “At this point Geordies are so immune to emotional pain that its seeping through to the physical.”

A fan even suggested Newcastle should ‘sign him up’ after his solid headed clearance.

They said: “Say what you want about him, but you can’t teach that. Perfect header, right back to where it came from. Sign him up.”

The shot happened to come from a Norwich player, but the Magpies were unable to get revenge on behalf of the fan.

Newcastle took the lead through Callum Wilson, despite playing a large part of the game with ten men.

But Teemu Pukki equalised for the visitors to keep new manager Dean Smith’s unbeaten start in tact.

The Canaries have taken eight points from their last four games under Smith.

And yesterday’s point will prove to be valuable.

Norwich sit 18th in the Premier League, three points ahead of Tuesday’s opponents Newcastle, and one above Burnley.

Newcastle’s failure to win could see them struggle to pick up wins until the New Year.

Eddie Howe’s side face fellow relegation strugglers Burnley next.

But then take on Leicester City, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Everton for the rest of December.
