WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix has confirmed she is stepping back from the commentary desk on NXT 2.0.
The Glamazon has decided to leave the brand’s announce team following Sunday night’s War Games special, and she noted her desire to spend more time with her family.
She wrote on social media: ‘Ahead of WarGames, I wanted to share that this Sunday will be my final night in NXT. While I will remain a part of WWE, I have made the choice to step away from the weekly broadcast booth to spend more time with my family.
‘This was not an easy decision, as I have loved my three plus years and 135 episodes with NXT and am incredibly proud of the brand.’
Beth paid tribute to her current and former broadcast partners, as well as NXT bosses Triple H and Shawn Michaels, and the whole team.
She added: ‘I will forever be grateful to Vic Joseph, Wade Barrett, Nigel McGuinness, Tom Phillips, Mauro Ranallo, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Michael Cole, and my entire NXT family both in and out of the ring for the amazing opportunity.
‘NXT will always be a part of me and Auntie Betty will always be a part of NXT. Leave the porch light on for me!’
A number of stars have already paid tribute to her days before she looks to a new stage in her WWE career.
Nikki A.S.H. shared two red hearts, while Indi Hartwell tweeted: ‘Thank you for helping us create such memorable moments’.

Indi’s former The Way teammate Candice LeRae responded with two green hearts, and her husband Johnny Gargano added: ‘You’re the best, Beth.’
Currently, Beth is keeping her cards close to her chest when it comes to her next move, but some fans are already speculating she could be ready to join her husband Edge on Raw, particularly as he’s started a feud with The Miz and Maryse.
Time will tell…
