Dakota Johnson has revealed she tatooed Olivia Colman at an after party in what The Crown star called the beginning of her ‘mid-life crisis’.

The Fifty Shades Of Grey star, 32, enjoyed regular star-studded parties this year as the world opened up again, with the actor admitting the coronavirus pandemic made her want to party harder than ever.

After one such party, attended by Dakota, Olivia and the rest of The Lost Daughter cast, the revelers retired to a hotel room, where Dakota gave the Oscar-winning actor a stick-and-poke tattoo.

Speaking to Town & Country magazine, Olivia, 47, said she’s not entirely sure why she agreed to let Dakota tattoo her.

‘Maybe it was me being completely seduced by this gorgeous person and wanting her to think I was cool’, the Broadchurch actor joked.

‘Or maybe it was my mid-life crisis.’

The pair didn’t give much else away, such as the nature of the tattoo or where on her body it is, so fans will have to use their imagination.

Dakota, who appears on the cover of Home & Country magazine’s December issue, believes the restrictions that the public were forced to live under due to the pandemic means that ‘people are not behaving normally’.

She explained: ‘If you got to a party, you f***ing rage.’

As part of that desire to ‘f***ing rage’, The Lost Daughter cast have replaced dinner parties with dance parties.

These massive, boozy affairs have been attended by the likes of Dakota’s Fifty Shades co-star Jamie Dornan, as well as The Power of the Dog stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Kirsten Dunst.

The cast have plenty to celebrate, with Maggie Gyllenhaal’s The Lost Daughter being well-received by critics ahead of its January 7 release, including by Metro.co.uk which awarded it four out of five stars.

Dakota, Olivia and the rest of The Lost Daughter cast recently descended on London for the premiere of the critically-acclaimed film, with Dakota pictured with boyfriend Chris Martin in a rare outing together.

She and the Coldplay frontman have been together for four years but are typically low-key about their relationship, tending not to splash their lives across social media.

The December issue of Town & Country magazine hits newsstands on December 7.
