Disgusting moment raw SEWAGE floods a young family’s garden for hours causing horrific smell & leaving poo everywhere
THIS is the disgusting moment raw sewage flooded a family’s garden for 30 hours – causing a “horrible” smell and forcing them to climb out through a window.
Filthy brown water began seeping into the garden in Cambridgeshire village Bar Hill at 9am on a Saturday morning.

The problem was reported to Anglian Water at 10.30am – and company reps said it would be sorted within 24 hours.
But workers failed to turn up for more than a day, leaving the horrified family trapped in their home with the windows closed.
The mum-of-three, who wishes to remain anonymous, told Cambridgeshire Live: “I returned from a course and was horrified to find that the water level was rising.
“The smell was horrible and the water flow increased.”
Sewage from a number of houses along the street flowed into the property.
The family didn’t want to risk a shower in case it made the problem worse.
‘THE SMELL WAS HORRIBLE’
Meanwhile, the drain of their kitchen sink blocked, and they were unable to clean the dishes.
The woman’s husband said the family were forced to climb out of the window to escape after hours locked inside the house.
“You could not stop smelling it,” he said.
The mum said she’d told Anglican there were youngsters aged 12, 10 and six in the home when she called to report the problem.
Under company policy, engineers must be out within six hours if children are affected.
But reps say they have no record of such a call.
CHILDREN CLIMBED FROM WINDOW
As a result, it took more than 30 hours for the issue to be resolved.
“During the day it just got a lot faster and everything just floated,” the mum said.
“We had a huge pool at around 10am on Sunday.”
Anglian Water said: “Our teams attended some external flooding at a property on Sunday afternoon.
“On inspection it was found that a sewer at the rear of the property had become blocked due to unflushables including fats, oils, grease and wet wipes being put into the sewer.
“The team cleared the blockage and have arranged for a full clean up of the garden.”

After the blockage was cleared and the water was drained, debris and faeces remained all over their garden.
The family say that even though the water has gone, “you can still smell it now”.
Anglian has sent a team to disinfect all affected areas, including the badly-damaged astroturf.
