Hulu has released a documentary about the Astroworld tragedy less than a month after the shocking incident.
Travis Scott’s music festival plunged into chaos on November 5 when a huge stampede in the crowd led to the deaths of 10 people, including a nine-year-old boy and a young teenager.
This week, US streaming service Hulu released a documentary about the horrific incident titled Astroworld: Concert From Hell, looking into the events of the ill-fated festival and the aftermath.
A synopsis on the website reads: ‘Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival was supposed to be the concert of a lifetime. But it turned into a tragic nightmare. A minute-by-minute look at what happened in the crowd, the young victims who were killed, and what happens next.’
It features interviews from festival-goers who attended the first day of Astroworld when the crush took place.
However, it has been met with a mixed response as some feel it is too soon for a film but others appreciate the breakdown of events.
Reacting to the release, one tweeted: ‘I too was shocked to see that Hulu has a series on what took place at astroworld so soon.’

Another weighed in: ‘Jesus #Hulu! The deceased haven’t even been laid to rest yet, and y’all already have a documentary about #AstroWorld? Y’all don’t even have all the facts available and yet.’
‘Me trying to figure out how in the fresh hell did Hulu make a whole Astroworld series within 3 weeks,’ one other commented.
However, others took value from the film with one tweeting: ‘Unpopular opinion…I watched the Hulu Astroworld documentary and it was good. It spoke with grieving families, concertgoers and shared who the victims were. It was not a negative slant. It cleared up misinformation…after large tragedies these documentaries are up within weeks.’

Another agreed and said: ‘On the one hand, there’s so much misinformation out there i think quick docs like the hulu astroworld one are helpful, but what does it mean that we have to define history as it happens now? also nothing will stop filmmakers from making a million docs about the same thing anyway.’
Some viewers claim the documentary has been removed from Hulu but the film’s page is still available on the website.

Scott is facing an uphill legal battle after being named in multiple lawsuits – alongside the likes of Live Nation and rapper Drake who made a guest appearance – totalling more than $750million (£563m).
The 30-year-old said he was devastated by the events and offered to pay for the funerals of the victims. He also set up a fund to provide mental health support for those who attended the festival.
