Jesy Nelson was left shocked after being verbally abused by a woman at a restaurant recently.

The former Little Mix singer visited Chiltern Firehouse in central London for drinks with a group of friends when the incident took place last Friday.

It’s believed a woman approached Jesy’s group complaining they had sat on her scarf, according to The Sun. The Boyz singer did not engage with the argument but later apologised to staff on behalf of the woman.

Jesy continued her night at the restaurant and was told she was always welcome back to the celebrity-favourite haunt.

A source told Metro.co.uk: ‘Jesy is the victim of non stop abuse whether it’s online or outside. This girl verbally attacked Jesy who remained calm as she was enjoying a night out with friends.

‘She was understandably shaken up by the whole thing.’

They added: ‘Jesy then apologised to the owner on the girl’s behalf and continues to be welcomed back at Chiltern Firehouse.

‘Jesy has even done documentaries on her experience of being targeted and this is just one more experience she has to deal with. It is relentless at the moment.’

The pop star, who quit Little Mix last year before launching her solo career, has been open about her mental health battles. In 2019, she released the documentary, Odd One Out, in which she detailed the trolling and bullying she was subjected to throughout her time in Little Mix.

Explaining her decision to leave the girl band, Jesy told The Guardian in August: ‘I was having these panic attacks out of nowhere. I couldn’t understand what was happening. It got to the point where I thought, this is too much – I need to come out of this now.’

She added: ‘I know there are people who think I’ve let the other girls down, and that I’m so selfish, but it was really affecting me mentally…I do think there comes a time in life when you do have to be selfish and look after yourself, and it was really affecting me mentally.’

Since going solo, Jesy has released her debut single Boyz featuring Nicki Minaj which peaked at number four on the UK charts.
