Lewis Hamilton Reveals the Big Fashion Sacrifice He Made in Order to Challenge Max Verstappen for the F1 Title

Lewis Hamilton is currently embracing a high-flying journey in Formula 1, having clinched 4 successive world championship titles. However, his pursuit of the 5th has not been an easy task amidst persistent threats from Max Verstappen and Red Bull.

Hence, Hamilton admitted that he has had to make a lot of sacrifices this season in order to keep up with his rival in the championship battle. What’s more, he further acknowledged that this is indeed the best he has given to a season over his decade-long F1 career.

What did Lewis Hamilton say?

As reported by The Sun, the 7-time world champion opened up about the massive fashion opportunities he had to turn down this year in a bid to focus on the title fight against the Dutchman.

“I have been working hard. And this is the best I have been able to give in a year in terms of the training, the time balance that I have,” he said.

“What I say yes to, what I say no to. On Sunday, it was the British Fashion Awards. And I was supposed to be on a really nice table. And I was like ‘I have got to be up training. I have got to be focused, I cannot risk getting covid’. So, I made every sacrifice I could this year.”

There are no regrets: Hamilton

Win or lose, Hamilton is pleased with the efforts he has invested in the ongoing F1 season. Hence, the Mercedes driver reckoned that he wouldn’t regret much about anything even if he ends up on the losing side.

“I don’t think I have left anything undone. So, at this point of the year there are no regrets,” Hamilton concluded.

It seems like his efforts could well pay off, ultimately. Yes, his title hopes were on the decline during the mid-part of 2021. However, since Brazil, we’ve been witnessing a whole new and a more fiery version of Hamilton. And merged with the sheer power of Mercedes W12, the combination looks deadly.

What’s more, Saudi Arabia is the next in line and looks to favor Mercedes more than Red Bull. Hence, very likely a third dominant week on the trot for Hamilton. But, how is the title fight going to play out from there? Who is set to clinch the title? Only time will tell.
