‘Literally the Whole Family’- UFC President Dana White Announces Sad Personal News as He Tests Positive

UFC President Dana White spoke out on the Jim Rome podcast and shared some shocking news to the MMA community. The long-time boss of the company revealed he tested positive for COVID-19 during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. He explained that over the holidays, his family trip down to Maine quickly took a left turn once he tested positive for COVID-19 alongside his entire family.

Furthermore, White detailed how he came to the realization that he had contracted the virus that has plagued the entire world. It was during a regular Sunday self-care routine that Dana White came to realize that he got more than what he bargained for during his trip to Maine.

“My business is on fire, family is good. We just went up to me place in Maine, you know for Thanksgiving tradition; we go up there every Thanksgiving and somebody up there had it and we get back and we all tested positive for COVID. Literally, the whole family, my family up in Maine too. Other than that, everything is awesome.”

“On Sunday, I cold plunge and steam every day. I get out of the cold plunge, get into the steam, I spray the Eucalyptus and I couldn’t smell anything. I opened the bottle, I start sniffing the bottle of Eucalyptus and I’m like yeah, I got no smell. You know what this means. I literally got out of the steam,  picked up my phone and called Joe Rogan.”

The UFC machine presses forward

Despite any setback the organizational figurehead might face, the UFC machinery continuous to move along smoothly. The leading MMA organization returns this weekend with a banger fight card, headlined by Rob Font and Jose Aldo. The aforementioned match-up will go a long way in determining the next big name in the contender’s line-up.

Additionally, the co-main event sees UFC lightweights Brad Riddell and Rafael Fizeav go head-to-head. Both men were former training partners at Tiger Muay Thai and fans are interested to see how their scrap plays out. Other notable names on the card include Jimmy Crute, Jamahal Hill, Brendan Allen, and Bryan Barberena.
