Lizzo has opened up on her sweet friendship with Adele after the Juice hitmaker was spotted in a front-row seat at her One Night Only concert.

The star was seen absolutely living at the show at the Griffith Observatory last month (honestly, who wouldn’t?) and has since revealed what brought the pair together.

Speaking to People magazine, Lizzo revealed the pair met for the first time at either a birthday party or an afterparty for the Grammys.

Unfortunately, she can’t be sure of the details of their first meeting as she ‘was drunk at both,’ she joked.

The Good As Hell singer explained how Adele has ‘been through similar things that I have, and she’s given me really good advice.’

‘We have very similar personalities and the way we think, and we just connected in that way,’ she went on to add.

‘We’re both supreme divas. We know our worth – and we’re also both Tauruses!’

Sounds like a match made in heaven!

Adele’s special featured some big names including Drake and James Corden, but some of the attendees, Lizzo didn’t even realise were there.

Attending Adele’s UK performance at the London Palladium for An Audience With Adele were the likes of Dame Emma Thompson, Jodie Comer and Samuel L Jackson.

The star’s much-anticipated album 30 – for which she made fans wait for six years – surprised no one when it debuted at number one in the UK charts and broke a slew of records.

30’s first-week chart sales totalled 261,000, beating Abba’s Voyage (204,000 chart sales) to score the biggest opening week of 2021 for an album.

A week after its release, the album had been accrued over 55.7million plays across its 12 tracks on streaming and sold 16,700 vinyls too.

The British singer has since confirmed that she will take on a Las Vegas residency next year following months of rumours.

The Easy On Me singer will launch Weekends With Adele, exclusively at the Colosseum inside Las Vegas’ famed Caesars Palace Hotel, on Friday January 21, 2022, with the event running till April.
