‘Every Lakers Player Should Be Ashamed’: Twitter Reacts to Grizzlies Recording Biggest Win in NBA History vs Thunder

The Memphis Grizzlies suffered big time with the loss of Ja Morant. Morant went down with a knee injury and is said to miss a few weeks. However, that doesn’t seem to slow down the Grizzles as they demolished the Oklahoma City Thunder in their recent match up creating history.

The Grizzles faced off against the Thunder in a regular season. Ever since the jump off, Memphis came out with a different energy. Dominating on both ends of the floor, they made OKC suffer an enormous loss. The Grizz proved that even without their star player; they are a competing team.

They created history in their 152-79 win over OKC and had NBA players and fans in absolute shock.

Grizzlies make NBA history

After losing their best player, teams usually take a step down. However, the Grizzles have written a totally different script. Ever since losing Morant, Memphis has gone on a 3 game winning streak. In their recent win, they made NBA history with the biggest margin of victory.

They put on a masterclass in their 73 point win over the Thunder. OKC came in without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who entered the NBA concussion protocol after the last game. This left a huge gap in the scoring department for the Thunder. The Grizzles pounced on this and absolutely shut down their offense.

Oklahoma shot just 32% from the field with no player able to break the 15 point mark. Memphis played stellar defense all night and made the Thunder work for every point they got. As for the Memphis offense, it matched the energy they showed on defense.

Nine of 12 Memphis players recorded double digit scores in the 152-79 win. The star of the show was big man Jaren Jackson Jr. He accumulated 27 points while shooting 6/7 from downtown and 81% from the field for the night. On the defensive end, he got two steals and two blocks. The Grizzles shot a dominating 62% from the field and converted 52% of their attempts from range.
