Kevin Hart shares his Kobe Bryant story

Recently, Kevin Hart did an interview to promote his new Netflix movie, True Story. During this conversation, they remembered their time with the NBA legend, Kobe Bryant. Hart stated how Bryant’s work ethic even in high school was off the charts as he played the entire camp left handed and beat them.

Hart said: “You talking about the best player in the world at the time that played left handed during our camp. And was the MVP etcetera of the camp. Kobe Bryant played left handed the entire camp. It is one of the best stories I love to tell. Kobe Bryant was that good, he chose to work on his left hand while other kids were coming to see if they have any talent.”

Hart further mentioned how they got to witness the greatness of the ‘Black Mamba’ at that age. Before getting to the NBA, Bryant was always a man of intense focus. He stayed consistent and true to his work ethic to be the greatest player that he could be.

He was one of the few players to go to the NBA directly out of high school. At just the age of 17, Bryant was sharing the floor with some of the biggest names in basketball at the time and playing at the highest level. His hard work and dedication to the game made Kobe the icon he is today.
