Shaquille O’Neal Bragged About his $400 Million Net Worth: “Who owns Elvis Presley? Who owns Forever 21? Who owns JCPenney? Me! How does Michael Jackson and all these guys live forever?”

Shaq’s greatest achievements include winning four NBA championships and becoming one of the most dominant players in the league’s history. However, he has also conquered the business world and is quite an entrepreneur. Over the years, Shaquille O’Neal has stacked up many successful businesses and made smart investments that have led to his $400 million net worth.

Moreover, Shaq has been trying to instill a sense of responsibility in his kids by reminding them that he’s the rich one, not them. That hasn’t stopped him from boasting about his prowess in the world of business.

The Hall of Famer recently appeared on the ‘Earn Your Leisure’ podcast, which is a financial literacy podcast hosted by Troy Millings and Rashad Bilal. In a conversation with them, the Los Angeles Lakers legend revealed some amazing details about his financial profile that will definitely impress fans.

“I don’t’ like to seem like I’m bragging, but I’m going to ask you a question. Who owns Marilyn Monroe,” O’Neal asked. Millings responded with “Playboy”. Then he added, “Who owns Elvis Presley? Who owns Forever 21? Who owns JCPenney? Me!”

After he was done with his statement, he explained how he made all this come true. “My real business is I own 50 brands,” he started off. “So, when I was retiring, I’m looking around, I’m like ‘How does Michael Jackson and all these guys live forever?’ So, one of the chapters in the book, joint venture-ship.”

“I called the three companies [seemingly Authentic brand group, Simon property group, and Brookfield property partners] that helped people live forever, and they bought my brand for a lot of money. So, I took half that money, put it back in the company, now I’m the number two guy in the company,” he concluded.

If we look at it, the $286.3 million that Shaq earned playing basketball were used for the right investments. In fact, a recent expansion of his Big Chicken restaurant is also in the books. He has certainly found the road to success even off the court.
