Joseph Diaz – Is he the WBC interim lightweight champ?

In his last fight, Diaz locked horns with Javier Fortuna for the WBC interim lightweight title. This fight was important for both the men and everyone expected the duo to be rough on each other. That said, things turned out to be as they were expected.

Both the men entered a violent tussle as they wanted a win at any cost. Consequently, they even headbutt each other in round 3, which eventually caused a cut on Diaz‘s left eye. Yet, he didn’t stop, nor was he ready to back out of the contest.

As the fight progressed, Diaz turned aggressive and came out with some fiery straight lefts and hooks to attack Fortuna’s body. This strategy worked for him, and Diaz just capitalized on this in the later rounds.
