Louise Minchin had the celeb camp in tears after she received an emotional phone call from her family in I’m A Celebrity.

The former BBC Breakfast host was thrilled to speak to her husband and daughters to catch up on news from home, who all offered words of comfort and support.

Her husband of over 20 years, David, assured her she was doing ‘brilliantly,’ and that the whole family was proud of her.

He added: ‘Your beautiful, kind, warm self comes across on the telly. Your lovely kind, caring nature… Oh, I’m going to cry.’

Even from afar, Louise remembered to keep everything in check at home as she urged her husband not to forget items on what was clearly a to-do list left behind before she entered the camp.

‘Phone Kadeena’s mum and say happy birthday to her brother!’ she instructed.

Louise’s daughters Mia and Scarlett could also be heard telling her how well she was doing. ‘Keep brushing your hair! Well done,’ they jokingly added.

She also asked after her two dogs, to which David said they were ‘hogging the fire’ as the colder evenings hit.

David wasn’t the only one who shed a few tears as the rest of the camp hugged and cried themselves as they listened to the call shortly after they were left emotional after receiving their luxury items.

Snoochie Shy added that Louise deserved the call, as the 53-year-old had been a constant source of support to her fellow camp members.

‘I’m so happy that Louise got the call,’ she said. ‘Louise has been here for so many of us in the Castle. She’s just the best support system ever,’ she said.

The call however hit home for other camp members, who said it emphasised the harder moments on the show, namely being separated and cut off from family and friends.

‘That need and want to speak to my family, to be in contact is really hitting me very hard and I realise how long I’ve been away and I’m finding it hard,’ Dame Arlene Phillips admitted.
