UFC Cuts 4 More Fighters From Contract
It was only hours ago that MMA fans got the news of Impa Kasanganay’s exit from the UFC. However, it seems that he is not the only fighter who has been released. Over the course of the last few weeks, UFC fighters John Allan, Bharat Khandare, and Liana Jojua have been let go or cut by the promotion. Of course, Dana White and the fighters are yet to comment on this.
These fighters may have not necessarily been cut. There is a possibility that the promotion was not interested in re-signing these fighters.

However, UFC also recently released Kevin Lee. ‘The Motown Phenom felt the way they released him was disrespectful. Hence, it would be interesting to see what the newly released fighters have to say.
The year 2021 saw several fighters released from the UFC’s active roster. The sudden departure of fighters has shocked fans.
Impa Kasanganay
Kasanganay had only four UFC fights and lost two of them. He has a 9-2-0 record and his last fight was against Carston Harris. Sadly, his MMA career at the UFC wasn’t as good as it was before joining the promotion.
However, he is a great fighter, and there would be several promotions interested in signing him up following his UFC release.
John Allan
Allan has a 13-7-0 record and his last fight was against Dustin Jacoby. The Brazilian fighter, unfortunately, lost the fight and was released just a month later.
Having joined the UFC in 2019, he did not claim a single win. Hence, it could have been a factor behind the UFC parting ways with him.
Bharat Khandare
The Indian fighter had a short stint with the UFC. He has a 5-3-0 record and only had one UFC fight. Khandare lost his sole UFC fight against Yadong Song in 2017 and has not entered a single MMA bout since UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs Gastelum.
Khandare’s manager had announced the news of his exit on Instagram a while back.
Liana Jojua
Jojua, with an 8-5-0 record, lost two back-to-back fights. She, too, departed the promotion on the back of consecutive a defeat (L. to Cortney Casey)

After several fighters being released, fans are not sure if the UFC will soon release more fighters. However, it seems likely. Fans would have to watch out and see whether any more fighters will get their marching orders.
