Watch moment wind blows down advertising board behind Klopp during TV interview ahead of Wolves vs Liverpool

JURGEN KLOPP has been blown away by his Liverpool side on a number of occasions this season, but this time it was the wind that nearly had the German off his feet.

As Klopp was being interviewed before Liverpool’s clash against Wolves, the advertising board behind him was sent toppling over.

Talking to beIN Sports about his team selection, a strong gust of wind sent the board careering backwards.

A laughing Klopp turned around and joked: “That was me! That was not the wind!”

The 54-year-old then proceeded to say about his team: “We cannot only see one game, not the last one, not the next one.

“We have to see them like two, three, four [games] all together, and how we can mix it up when and where, and that’s why we made the decision today like this.”

In response the interviewer was quick on his feet and couldn’t resist a pun as Klopp finished, saying: “Enjoy the game, try not to be blown away.”

Klopp and his side travel to the West Midlands knowing a win could see them end the day top of the table, depending on the result of Watford vs Man City, after West Ham beat Chelsea 3-2 in the early kick off.

The Liverpool boss has had his fair share of run-ins with the WIND in the past, blaming adverse weather for his side dropping points on multiple occasions.

In January 2019 Klopp was affected by wind, once again at Molineux, and pinned the blame on the blustery conditions for defeat in the FA Cup.

Then just three months later he was at it again, with the wind once again at fault for a 0-0 stalemate against bitter rivals Everton.

After that game, Klopp said: “I know people don’t like it when I say this – the wind was coming from all different directions, you saw that in a lot of situations.”

Klopp joined Liverpool in 2015, and vented his frustrations at the weather almost immediately.

In December of that year, Klopp blamed ‘extreme wind’ in England for Liverpool struggling with to implement his ‘Gegenpress’ philosophy.

He took aim at the conditions, saying: “There is a different style of football here, partially due to the weather.

“The wind can be quite extreme in England. We are not familiar with that in Germany and you have to keep things simple.

“Players who are not from the UK have to get used to the winds.”
