Damian Lillard Disagrees With Lebron James and Kevin Durant’s NBA Ring Chasing: “It’s Not in Disrespect to Anybody Else Who Made a Different Decision”

Former All-Stars LeBron James and Kevin Durant always cherish their excitement over being NBA champions. Damian Lillard sees nothing wrong with this sentiment, but he disagrees with the idea of ring chasing.

Lillard stresses his perspective on winning a ring-like LeBron James and Kevin Durant does. It is pointed at something that has to be aligned to get the hands-on ring, it can be a roster, it is then connected with a little bit of luck, talent, and of course to stay healthy throughout the season. “I’m not a fan of that, and that’s why I don’t play my career to that narrative”, expresses Lillard.

It’s only natural for people around us to offer ideas and such things, but it all comes down to how much we are respected. “It’s not in disrespect to anybody else who made a different decision, it’s just in respect for me standing in what I believe and being able to deal with whatever the consequences are”, said Lillard.

The Portland Trail Blazers guard said that there is no need for it in an interview on Uninterrupted’s ‘Road Trippin’ Podcast.”He told his cohosts – Mo Williams (former teammate) and Big Cat from Barstool Sports – that they are making a mistake by thinking too much about rings instead of focusing on playing well as professionals: “I don’t think you should be trying to win championships every year”.

Damian Lillard does not agree with LeBron James and Kevin Durant’s decision to join forces in order to chase rings. “I just don’t believe that, that’s what you’re supposed to do.” said Lillard

Lillard also weighed in on the Steph Curry vs. LeBron James debate, saying “There is no wrong answer there. They are both great players”. However, he did add that he believes Curry is the better player right now.
