“Don’t Even Throw Me Up” – Dr Disrespect Makes Stunning Esports Awards Admission

Dr Disrespect and his contentious relationship with Twitch has seemed to strain the streamer from eSports Awards. When asked by a fan about the awards ceremony, the Doc went on a ranting rampage and was really upset about the streaming site censoring his content. The 2Time was arbitrarily banned from Twitch in 2020 and fans had come up with several speculations regarding the same. While Dr Disrespect has denied all those speculations, he has claimed that he knows the actual reason behind him getting banned.

Dr Disrespect severed ties with eSports Awards

Dr Disrespect was nominated as a finalist in this year’s ‘Streamer of the Year’ category at eSports Awards and many people were pinning their hopes on the Doc. The event was to be broadcast on Twitch and in order to comply with the streaming site’s regulations, the 2time’s nomination was entirely censored and played on mute in the ceremony’s stream.

Doc was extremely upset about it and conveyed the same in one of his streams. Doc said “We had a good run with Esports Awards. After this last one, at this point, don’t even mention the Doc.” He further added, “Don’t even throw me up on any social media, don’t do anything. The first year dropping me completely. And then this year…”

Dr Disrespect’s gameplay audio was muted because Twitch doesn’t allow their other streamers to feature banned streamers in their streams. eSports Awards had to bow down to this regulation, severely disappointing Doc.

Meanwhile, in the Esports Awards, Spanish streamer Ibai came up as streamer of the year. Indian streamer SouL Mortal and streamer TheGrefg coming up as first and second runners up respectively. The Indian streamer finished in this position for the second time in a row, coming behind Ibai previously in 2020.

The results are in…
