Floyd Mayweather Reveals Why It’s Extremely Difficult for Gervonta Davis to Break His PPV Record
Floyd Mayweather dominated the boxing world for nearly two decades. Mayweather became the face of the sport and would sell high PPVs on almost every fight of his. The top 4 highest sold PPVs are all Floyd Mayweather fights against top opponents. We may never get to see another boxer captivate the eyes of boxing fans in this way again.
In a recent interview, Mayweather revealed why his protege Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis will not be able to break his PPV records. “He can do crazy numbers. It’s gonna be hard to break my record, because you have so many people stealing. You know, so many people stealing. Yeah streaming, it’s still stealing. They not paying for it and they gettin it free, it’s stealing.” Floyd said.
Floyd is referring to all the illegal streams that have now come up. There are so many websites and streams that stream for free, and illegally, that it is next to impossible for networks to ban the sites. ‘Money Mayweather fought in simpler times, and hence holds the top 4 spots in the top five highest-grossing PPVs.

Mayweather feels Joshua’s trainers do not have the expertise to train at such high levels. “But I told him at the beginning when he was undefeated ‘you’ve got some things you need to tweak because if you don’t then you may come up short’.” Floyd says the offer is still open, for ‘AJ’ to come train at the Mayweather gym.
