Mobos 2021: Time, host, who is performing and how to watch?

The Mobos 2021 will be getting underway tonight to celebrate its 25th anniversary. 

Moving from its typical home of London, the Mobos – which stands for Music of Black Origin – will be held at the Building Society Arena in Coventry on Sunday evening. 

Rapper Dave leads the nominations list after picking up a staggering five nominations for best male act, best hip hop act, album of the year for the critically-acclaimed We’re All Alone In This Together, song Of the year – in association with Coventry Building Society for Clash featuring Stormzy, and video of the year for his Fredo collaboration Money Talks. 

The awe-inspiring Little Simz follows closely behind with three nods for best female act, best hip hop act, and video of the year for Woman. 

For the first time ever, the Mobos will incorporate the best drill act to acknowledge the rise in popularity of the genre, while Wizkid and Tems have notably received a nomination for best African act with their global smash Essence.

The Mobos will be kicking off at 8pm sharp so be sure to tune in on time. 

Who is hosting the Mobos 2021? 

Little Mix singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock and comedian Munya Chawawa will do the honours of hosting the awards show and keeping us entertained for the evening.

A host of stars are set to grace the stage, with Ghetts, Tems, NSG, Bree Runway and Coventry’s own Pa Salieu set to perform.
