TalkTV is an upcoming television channel promising ‘exceptional talent’ on primetime telly and will be Piers Morgan’s new home.

The network will offer ‘a mix of programming from News UK’s stable of household brands’ covering news, sports, entertainment and current affairs with a sprinkling of opinion and debate.

As well as talent from the News UK brands there are also some new hires in the pipeline to be announced in due course.

Here’s everything you need to know about TalkTV’s launch date and who else is involved.

When is TalkTV starting?

As it currently stands, an exact launch date for TalkTV has not yet been announced.

However, the forthcoming television channel is expected to begin broadcasting in early 2022.

TalkTV will air on weeknights in the UK, US and Australia.

Who is involved with TalkTV?

A number of notable presenters have been confirmed for TalkTV, including Mike Graham, Trisha Goddard, Julia Hartley-Brewer, Jeremy Kyle and Robert Rinder.

It was confirmed in September that Piers Morgan will have his own primetime show on the network.

Erron Gordon, a former Good Morning Britain bigwig, has been announced Executive Creative Director at News UK Broadcasting and will join Piers on his programme.

‘I’m thrilled to be returning to News Corp. which is where I began my media career more than 30 years ago. Rupert Murdoch has been a constant and fearless champion of free speech and we are going to be building something new and very exciting together,’ Piers said in a statement about the news.

‘I want my global show to be a fearless forum for lively debate and agenda-setting interviews, and a place that celebrates the right of everyone to have an opinion, and for those opinions to be vigorously examined and challenged.’

The announcement of Piers’ new global primetime show on talkTV came after speculation that he would join GB News, which has struggled to keep up with its competitors since its launch in June.
