Ryan Garcia Wants 3 Fights in 2022 – Devin Haney, George Kambosos Jr, and Gervonta Davis on Radar

Lightweight superstar Ryan Garcia didn’t relish his share of glory this year as he was sidelined due to injury. After beating Luke Campbell in January for the WBC interim title, Garcia didn’t remain active and eventually lost the strap. He targeted several matchups, including a potential blockbuster against Manny Pacquiao.

However, none of these bouts came to life. While he almost bagged a fight against Javier Fortuna, the bout faded away with Garcia’s untimely hand injury.

The entire lightweight division has been through some massive changes, but Garcia missed all of it. However, he seems to have lined up some plans for 2022. At least that’s what his Twitter handle reflects.

Ryan Garcia wrote, “I can’t wait to have three fights next year and win every single one of them, in a spectacular way.”

As his ongoing hiatus is clearly putting him at a distance from the titles, an immediate shot at them may not arrive so easily. However, Garcia is an A-lister of the unit and his superstar aura can still benefit him with the fights.

Here are the potential names who can allure ‘KingRy’ for an immediate comeback.

Ryan Garcia will enter a pool of sharks

The existing world champions- George Kambosos Jr., Devin Haney, and Gervonta Davis can be intriguing opponents for Ryan Garcia.

Garcia has already called out Georg Kambosos Jr. online. However, the Australian champion seems to have ignored him. WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney may not intend to face Garcia any longer too.

The Dream’ targeted a fight against ‘KingRy’ for a long period and ultimately failed to secure it. As the champion can now aim at unifying his belts against Kambosos Jr, Garcia has to take another road to the world championship. WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis is also on the list.

These options are only if he gets an immediate title fight. However, it is likely that Garcia may have to return amidst a hungry pool of boxers, all of who will be eager to rise to the top of the division and challenge the aforementioned three champions. Hence, it’s hard to picture whom ‘KingRy’ can face on returning to the ring.
