Shaquille O’Neal, popularly known as Shaq, is one of the most respected names in the world of basketball. He has won four NBA championships during his 19-year career.
In addition to his professional career, he is a businessman with investments in Google and Amazon. He is also a minority owner of the Sacramento Kings and has been a part of many endorsements.

Shaquille O’Neal and his insights into fatherhood
O’ Neal has done a lot to become who he is today: be it his rap career, his stint in television, or the promotion of his company . The NBA superstar is a wealthy man, but he does not believe in giving money to his children.
Speaking to People in 2015, he gave an insight into his tough-love parenting style.
“I expect them to do their best,” Shaq said. “My son got a D on a paper one time, and he said he couldn’t find the information. I went off.” Jokingly, O’Neal told his son that when he was a child, he had to go to his neighbor’s house to fetch an encyclopedia while in the current scenario, you have Google and Bing at your disposal always.

In 2021, his net worth is estimated to reach $400 million. Besides his career in basketball, he earns $60 million through endorsements and the TV industry every year.
During an interview with the Finance Podcast, he explained that he does not believe in giving money to his children. As a result, his children are sometimes angry at him for his beliefs. Upon being asked about this, he said that even though they get angry at him, they have to understand and he said: “We ain’t rich. I’m rich”.
