Font was dropped multiple times in the fight, however, he managed to maintain his composure. Chiefly, Aldo didn’t necessarily chase the finish even after having Font hurt and was content to keep the fight at an even pace. ‘The King of Rio’ also shot for some clutch takedowns as the fight went on and aimed to establish a dominant position.

Jose Aldo extended his win streak to three and is 31-7 as a professional. He continues to evolve and grow despite reaching the summit of the sport in his career. After his fight, ‘The King of Rio’ spoke to Daniel Cormier and revealed that he wants to face T.J Dillashaw next.

“Of course we want to fight for the title but Dillashaw is right there!” – @josealdojunior #UFCVegas44 pic.twitter.com/fPyc8xdC2z

Aldo is determined to leave the sport with the bantamweight title around his waist. Thus far he has proven to be the better man against three marquee bantamweight in a row and a win over Rob Font will be huge on his resume. Font came into this fight on a four-fight win streak and was surging up the ranks in his own right.

Fans will be interested to see how things play out going forward. The bantamweight title picture is murky, to say the least, and some clarity will be needed as the top fighters aim to settle the score.
