I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! is proving an emotional experience for the campmates this year, and it was too much for Adam Woodyatt who broke down in tears on Sunday.

The EastEnders star was overwhelmed during an honest discussion with Kadeena Cox and other campmates ahead of the first elimination.

The actor spoke about a ‘massive turnaround’ in his life during a chat around the fire – while Paralympic athlete Kadeena discussed her battle with multiple sclerosis.

Speaking during their final meal as a full group before the elimination, the campmates shared their thoughts on the programme so far and thanked one another for their time together.

Discussing his journey in the camp, Adam started: ‘You find out about yourself… you find out… why am I getting emotional?’

He struggled to complete his sentiments after finding himself overcome with emotion.

Simon Gregson then added: ‘It was so lovely to sit back and watch all the different groups of people get on… you guys just smashing it every day in the kitchen and entertaining us with… your rows… So, it was really, really good. I cannot wait to see you guys again on the outside.’

Discussing her fight with multiple sclerosis, which she was diagnosed with in 2014, Kadeena later said: ‘When I got ill, I felt like I lost control of me. And I lost me. You’ve helped me to remember who Kadeena is. I’m not defined by my illness.’

Kadeen also spoke candidly with her campmates (Picture: ITV)

‘But the best moments are when I’ve been unwell. And that’s when everyone’s come around me and I felt so loved in those moments. I thank each and every one of you for your part you played in that, thank you.’

Meanwhile, Dame Arlene Phillips became the first contestant to be eliminated from I’m A Celebrity this year.

Presenters Ant and Dec entered the castle to deliver the news that the former Strictly Come Dancing judge had received the least votes and therefore would be leaving the castle.

Just 10 celebrities remain in the competition now, with the final due to take place next Sunday.

I’m A Celebrity continues on Monday at 9pm on ITV.
