Music legend John Miles, who toured with Tina Turner, dies aged 72

Music icon John Miles, who worked with the legendary Tina Turner, has died aged 72.

The artist’s management confirmed that he died ‘peacefully’ in his sleep with his family at his bedside.

Miles’ management announced: ‘John was not only so kind and gentle but a brilliant musician and songwriter on the world stage.’

Miles shot to fame with his international smash hit Music Was My First Love And It Will Be My Last.

Over the course of his career, he toured with Tina Turner since 1987, playing keyboards, guitar, and supporting vocals on every one of her tours, and played on several of her albums.

He also appeared on Jimmy Page’s 1988 album Outrider and subsequent tour.
