”We Have High Standards”: LA Dodgers Star Wants Carlos Correa to Go to New York Yankees

Many teams are aiming to secure top free agent Carlos Correa for the 2022 season and further. However, a harsh comment by LA Dodgers ace hints at their disinterest in the star shortstop. Notably, Carlos Correa has been producing astonishing performances on the field; however, despite his stellar run, his past controversies are still not forgotten by his fellow players.

Trevor Bauer thinks Yankees and Carlos Correa deserve each other

Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Chicago Cubs, many top franchises have shown their interest in signing Carlos Correa. While he is enjoying the attention in free agency, the 2017 controversy still continues to haunt him.

LA Dodgers, ace pitcher Trevor Bauer, had some strong words not only against Carlos Correa but also the New York Yankees team. Trevor said, “We don’t need Carlos Correa on the Dodgers. Let him go to the Yankees. We have a higher standard here. They have a history with boys breaking the rules and it shouldn’t be a problem to add it.”

LA Dodgers have already lost their chance to re-sign Corey Seager, as he joined the Texas Rangers for a $325 million deal. And now Trevor’s comments will not do any good if Dodgers were planning to sign Carlos.

Reports aren’t looking for the Carlos-Yankees relationship as well

Prior to the lockout, New York Yankees seemed to be the front-runners in the Correa war. However, some recent reports say otherwise. According to Buster Olney, Yankees might not be interested in spending a whopping million on Carlos, as they are saving up to extend Aaron Judge’s contract.

While on the other hand, Carlos had contacted a Chicago Cubs former player to inquire about his experience with the franchise. Even Chicago Cubs’ new star pitcher Marcus Stroman had openly requested Correa on social media, to join the team.

Regardless of what happens between the Yankees and Correa after the lockout, it’s clear that LA Dodgers are out of the race. Do you think it was fair for Trevor Bauer to bring up Correa’s past even after he proved his skills in the past seasons?
