“We Still Got a Shot”: Houston Astros Star Convinced Carlos Correa Will Resign After Persuasion

2022 off-season free agency’s top star Carlos Correa signed nowhere before the lockout. According to the reports, New York Yankees have been the front runner in the race, while his former team Houston Astros seemed to be falling behind.

However, Astros star player hinted the team is still positive about his comeback. Carlos has given his whole MLB career to date to the Astros and made an immense contribution to the team.

 

Astros star thinks Carlos will choose the best for his family

After entering free agency, Carlos Correa had removed Houston Astros from his Twitter bio, hinting at his plans of exploring other teams. Correa had also declined their qualifying offer, as he knew his value was going way up after his stellar run as a shortstop last season. Carlos is confident about clinching a whopping $300 million above deal.

Astros pitcher, and Carlos Correa’s friend, Lance McCullers Jr, talked about his free agency situation. Lance thinks Carlos is going to choose is hopeful his best friend will make a comeback.

”He’s the best shortstop in baseball. So there should be a lot of interest in him. he is definitely my best friend, I am actually gonna head over to his house after today. Whatever is best for him and his family…these guys have to put their families first. Hope it’s here. He’s not signed anywhere else yet. So we still got a shot,” Lance said.

Carlos Correa is analyzing his options

Undeniably, Carlos Correa has been on the radar of many top franchises like the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, and Chicago Cubs. While some players were disappointed with the delay in free agency because of the lockout, Carlos is unbothered.
