Former two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo took to Twitter and teased a possible comeback fight in May 2022. ‘Triple C’ shared a UFC fight poster to his timeline that showed him go head-to-head against Jose Aldo. The Brazilian legend just fought last night against Rob Font and came out victorious in the main event for UFC Vegas 44.

Henry Cejudo highlighted his possible return for UFC 250 that is set to take place on May 9, 2022. While Cejudo is known for his over-the-top promotional antics, some fans believe 2022 will truly mark his return to the sport.

He has talked about returning only for big-time money fights and facing ‘The King of Rio’ is as blockbuster as it gets. Not to mention, T.J Dillashaw and featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski are the only other fights he has expressed an interest in.

Jose Aldo puts on a show at UFC Vegas 44

Aldo came out with intentions to make his mark at UFC Vegas 44 against fellow top contender Rob Font. Right from the first bell, the former two-time featherweight champion was able to push forward and land the heavier shots. Rob Font certainly looked crisp on the feet, however, a clear power discrepancy existed between the two.

Font was staggered on several occasions in the fight, however, Jose Aldo chose to keep a low profile. He wouldn’t overly commit to any offense thus taking the fight to the distance. Moreover, he landed some clutch takedowns, which helped him cement his victory in an even more decisive manner.

In the end, Jose Aldo walked away with a unanimous decision on the scorecards, and Font was heading back to the training room. Jose Aldo extended his win streak and overall record to 31-7 and is a formidable title contender. He’s 35-years-old with a lot of mileage on him, however, he continues to fight at an elite level.

After the contest, he called out T.J Dillashaw in what would be a title eliminator of sorts. However, it remains to be seen if Henry Cejudo now inserts himself into the landscape of the title picture in the coming year.
