Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins: ‘You’re Playing Against a Killer Who Wants to Win at Any Cost. Michael Jordan Was a Killer. He Wanted to Take Your Heart’

Dominique Wilkins is one of the greatest dunkers in NBA history, but his inspiration came from Michael Jordan, who he credits as “one of the best players ever to grace the NBA.” The Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks both naturally captivate viewers with their memorable battles whenever they compete.

Through their tough competition during the game, they showed the audience the best of who they are. Recently, Wilkins told a story and spoke about his respect for Jordan in an interview with The Athletic.

We always respected each other. We lived to compete against each other. I played against a lot of great players, but one guy bought the most out of me, and that was playing against Michael. He’s going to bring it to you, and if you’re not ready to give it back, you already lost.”
