While reflecting on her time at the Playboy Mansion in a sneak peak of A&E’s upcoming documentary series Secrets of Playboy, Holly shared an unfavorable memory of Hugh.
She said in the clip: “I got to a point, not too far into my time there — I think it was, like, six months in — where I kind of broke under that pressure being made to feel I had to look like everyone else.
“My hair was really long naturally, and I was just like, ‘I’m gonna go chop my hair off so I can, at least, look a little different.’”
Holly then recalled Hugh’s reaction to her new hair, sharing: “I came back with short hair, and he flipped out on me.
“He was screaming at me and said it made me look old, hard and cheap.”
Holly lived in the Playboy Mansion with her then-boyfriend Hugh from 2001 until 2008.

In addition to Holly, Hugh’s former girlfriends Bridget Marquardt and Sondra Theodore also appear in the documentary special.
‘ABRASIVE’
Bridget, 48, reiterated how tough Hugh would be on Holly during their time at the mansion.
She said: “Hef would be pretty abrasive in the way he said things to Holly.
“She came down with red lipstick one night and he flipped out and said he hated red lipstick on girls, [and told her], ‘You need to take it off right way,’ even though other people could wear red lipstick and it didn’t seem to bother him.
“It was very frustrating to live with every day — all of the drama that was going on and the tensions.
“I could definitely see that she was getting depressed and sad, and her demeanor was starting to change.”
Also in the teaser for the documentary, Holly admitted she didn’t know how to leave her life at the Playboy Mansion.
She said: “I remember there were times, probably in the first couple years I lived there, I felt like I was just in this circle of gross things, and I didn’t know what to do.”
The Playboy Playmates will reveal more about their time at the mansion in Secrets of Playboy, which debuts on A&E Monday, January 24.
HOLLY’S CLAIMS
Holly’s comments about Hugh’s reaction to her hair is not the first time she’s revealed shocking information about being a Playmate.
Back in April, the mother of two claimed some of Hugh’s former girlfriends “became escorts” following their time in the mansion.
Holly revealed to Alexandra Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast: “There was kind of a shift in the group, where there was almost a full turnover. And the women who moved out. I saw what happened to them.
“A lot of them went into escorting. And some of them moved back home, which I knew they didn’t want to do.
“But they couldn’t make it in LA. They couldn’t make ends meet.”
