WATCH: Matteo Berrettini and Ajla Tomljanovic Relish Their Beach Time in an Exquisite Location

Matteo Berrettini was undoubtedly delivering his best tennis this season. The Italian grabbed two titles on the ATP Tour and also reached his first Grand Slam final at Wimbledon this year. His season ended on a disappointing note, however, with an injury forcing his withdrawal from the ATP Finals.

During the off season, Matteo and his girlfriend, Ajla Tomljanovic, the World No. 45 on the WTA Tour, were seen enjoying their time at the beach.

The Italian, Matteo Berrettini has truly enjoyed his run in the year 2021. His biggest achievement came at Queen’s club championship after surpassing Cameron Norrie registering his first ATP 500 Cup. He also grabbed the title at the Serbia Open, beating Aslan Karatsev. Moreover, the Italian reached a career-high ranking of World No. 7 in September 2021.

In a video of them posted by the Ajla, she can be seen trying to put on swimming flippers while standing in the onrushing waves, and hilariously failing.

Ajla took to Instagram to share their happiness with their fans. They can be seen chilling on a beach, enjoying exquisite food, and going on a boat ride as well.

Berrettini injury update

Matteo Berrettini entered the ATP Tour Finals with much optimism after having a remarkable season. However, in his very first match against Alexander Zverev, Berrettini suffered a major setback. He withdrew from his opening match because of an abdominal injury.

The World No. 7 was absolutely gutted at not being able to perform in front of his home crowd. Since then, Berrettini has not provided any update on his injury. However, from the pictures shared by Tomljanovic, Berrettini looked very happy and joyful.

We wish a speedy recovery to Matteo Berrettini and hope to see him and Ajla both in the upcoming 2022 season.
