WATCH: Toto Wolff’s Wife Hilariously Taunts the Mercedes F1 Boss Amid Birthday Celebrations at Jeddah
The race result in Saudi Arabia caused a mini celebration in the Mercedes garage. Lewis Hamilton won the race and ended up level on points with rival Max Verstappen. But there was another celebration in the garage, not pertaining to racing reasons. It was for the birthday of Susie Wolff, wife of Toto Wolff.
In a video posted on Twitter, Mercedes showed a glimpse of the celebrations. We can see Susie Wolff wasn’t expecting this surprise. In the garage, there were Mercedes engineers and crew, along with driver Valtteri Bottas, who sang the tune.
As the song stopped, Susie Wolff cracked a joke on her husband, who probably planned the surprise. She said, “You remembered this year!”
Then the Mercedes boss recalled a story from a couple of years ago.
“Two years ago, we left hotel in the morning and Bradley came and said ‘Happy Birthday’ and I was like-,” as the Mercedes garage burst in laughter. He continued, “She looked at me and said, ‘You forgot,’ and I said no, no, I have something special planned for you (in the) afternoon.”

Toto Wolff fears a ‘messy’ race in Abu Dhabi
Speaking after the race in Saudi Arabia, Wolff said he hopes teams and drivers learn from the eventful race in Jeddah.
Wolff said, “I would hope that [Sunday’s] race has enough repercussions that everybody’s going to learn from it and adapt for the final race.”
Considering the current tempers and stakes, an outcome in which both drivers ‘come together’ isn’t a far-fetched thing. Abu Dhabi isn’t exactly a circuit where one can overtake easily, and both drivers will go for even the smallest of gaps.

But the Mercedes boss hopes that it doesn’t get down to it. He said, “I don’t think that the championship has deserved a result which was influenced by a collision.”
And as dramatic and headline-making such an event may be, we all hope that the winner of this season’s incredible battle is decided fairly.
