Benefits Street star White Dee’s rarely seen daughter Caitlin is all grown up six years after appearing on the show

WHITE Dee’s daughter Caitlin appeared on the controversial Channel 5 series Benefits Street back in 2014 when she was just 16.

Now – six years after her family found fame on the show – Caitlin is all grown up and her proud mum, real name Deirdre Kelly, has shared a rare snap of her on social media.

Dee, 50, posted a photo taken at a charity night with Caitlin, now 22.

She wrote: “Me and my beautiful girls at @ballstocancer 10th Xmas ball x so proud of you my amazing daughter @caitlin.kelly97.”

It’s not known what Caitlin does for a living and her social media accounts are set to private, but she previously opened up about wanting to train as a police officer.

She told Daily Mail: “I want to become a police officer because the police department has so much to offer and I could never get bored of it.

“I want to make sure I work for a living and not have to depend on people because one day they might not be there for me.”

She also said mum Dee had nothing to be ashamed of after claiming benefits from 2007, adding: “I’m not ashamed of my mum because she did what she had to do to make sure me and my brother are happy.”

Dee – also mum to son Gerrard Owen, who is named after her two favourite football players – entered the Celebrity Big Brother house six months after she and the residents of James Turner Street in Birmingham were catapulted to fame.

After many other TV appearances and even a fitness DVD – titled BeneFIT – Dee was rumoured to have earned £1m, but it wasn’t long before she claimed “near financial ruin”.

In 2016 a statement released on her behalf said: “In fact she finds herself after many TV appearances, personal appearances and pilot shows both in the UK and abroad, near to losing her home and back to square one, again – through no fault of her own, and not for the want of hard work!”

Earlier this year, during an interview with Closer, Dee begged Love Island bosses to make her part of the next series, saying: “I’m a curvy, sexy, older woman and they say they want diversity on the show – what better way than with me?

“I’m a real hit with younger men – they’re always sliding into my DMs! So get me in the villa to spice things up.”
