I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here star Kadeena Cox admitted her multiple sclerosis got so bad, her fellow campmates had to help guide her to the toilet.

The 30-year-old Paralympian was the second celebrity to leave Gwrych Castle , and since then the gold-medallist has revealed that her MS wasn’t ‘nice’ to her during her stint in the hit survival series.

Kadeena’s condition, which can affect the brain and spinal cord, resulted in her needing assistance from the other celebrities in camp.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: ‘There was times when literally the campmates had to help me get into bed, they had to help me get to the toilet, and it was a real struggle.

‘I really struggled with the fatigue and my spasms were being quite a problem, and there was points where my speech was really slurred and everyone was really worried about me.’

Despite the hardship, the star was determined to focus on the positives and credits the ‘strong bond’ she had with her campmates which helped her get through it all.

‘We just laughed our way through it,’ Kadeena added.

The athlete said she joined the ITV show because she wanted to test herself, despite previously confessing she was scared of everything.

Speaking after leaving camp on Monday, Kadeena said she was determined to ‘push boundaries.’

She added: ‘It was harder than I thought but I think I showed that even with these trials and tribulations of just life as someone with a chronic
condition, you can still crack on and have fun.’

The MS society praised Kadeena for shedding light on the lifelong condition and told Metro.co.uk: ‘MS damages nerves in your body and makes it harder to do everyday things like walk, talk, eat and think. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone, so can often be misunderstood.

‘By speaking out about her MS journey, Kadeena has helped educate viewers about the reality of living with the condition. Regardless of the result, Kadeena will always be our Queen of the Castle!’
