Paige Spiranac Once Suffered a Black Eye After Being Punched by ‘Psycho Roomate’

College was undeniably a wild ride for most of us. Yet, how many can say they got into a fight and ended up with a black eye? Paige Spiranac definitely can and it’s a story that will have you laughing until tears form in your eyes. And maybe a memory from a night full of revelry will pop up.

The professional golfer turned social media personality runs a podcast called ‘playing a round’. On it, she once revealed a story from her college days and how a fun night slowly went downhill. Giving a heads up on the story, she clarifies, “I am not a violent person. We’ll loosely use that term fight because I did not participate in it, I just got completely destroyed by one punch.”

When Paige Spiranac got punched by her room-mate

The 28-year-old recalled a night from college when a friend asked her to pick her up from a late-night party. She was fine until they drove back home when suddenly, her friend passed out. She plans a hefty job of carrying her up to her room and changing her to get her settled.

However, her plan is foiled by her roommate’s actions. “All the sudden I come back out and I go to lift her up, and she just sprints straight into her room and shuts the door. And again, she’s blacked out, she has no idea what’s going on,” she said. Fearing for her life, she bangs on the door, calling out her name, imagining the worst scenario.

“I’m like, ‘Open the door, open the door,’ and she thought I was one of her ex-boyfriends, and so she opens the door and decks me as hard as she possibly could,” Spiranac said. “I woke up the next day with a massive black eye.” The 5-foot-10, 190-pound softball player, however, remembered none of it the next day.

Going into class and practice attracted a lot of unwanted attention and people assumed the worst. “They’re like, ‘Hey, do you need to talk to someone? Do you need to do anything?’ And I’m like, ‘No, thank you so much, but I just have a psycho roommate.’”
