Scottie Pippen on Michael Jordan: ‘There Are Occasions, and Watching the Doc Was Definitely One, When I Think About the Relationship I Wish the Two of Us Had, and It Hurts. It Hurts a Lot’
Scottie Pippen, six-time NBA champion, has been in the news for more than a month now. After recent few incidents, it seems like Pippen is very much unhappy with his former teammate, Michael Jordan. Pippen portrays Jordan as selfish and ignorant in several places in his book. Considering him as nothing more than a prop for making money from the documentary series “The Last Dance”, he also says that Jordan would not have achieved superstardom “without me.” through thinking that he was as good as Jordan.
The book contains numerous references to the 90’s era of basketball and all the discrimination that Pippen faced. As if Pippen were replying to Jordan for his documentary series.
According to Scottie Pippen, he was as great as Michael Jordan
On Good Morning America, Michael Strahan interviewed Pippen about his relationship with Jordan, and Pippen said that what you see on the court or on TV is not the true picture since so many people don’t know that.

According to Scottie Pippen, on page XXIII of the prologue of Unguarded:
“When Ron Harper signed with the Bulls as a free agent in September of 1994, he asked me what every new player who came to Chicago asked: “What’s your relationship like with Michael?”
“It’s a great question. I don’t have a great answer.”
Nearly a quarter-century has passed since Michael and I played together, and I still don’t have a great answer. I don’t usually allow our lack of closeness to bother me. I have plenty of friends. Yet there are occasions, and watching the doc was definitely one, when I think about the relationship I wish the two of us had, and it hurts. It hurts a lot.”
“I don’t see many bad-back games, but I do see flu games.” @ScottiePippen compares his back injury against the Jazz to Michael Jordan’s infamous “Flu Game.” Hear more on @SiriusXMNBA. https://t.co/vZSAKED5NR pic.twitter.com/65Q21Dgig2

With Pippen’s conflicts with Jordan and the statements that Pippen is making, it’s hard to say what their relationship is. Pippen stated in his book that he was hurt by Jordan’s behavior about how he depicted him in the documentary. Please let us know what you think of this ongoing and off-going battle.
