Tyson Fury Has His Next Fight Set- Officially Ordered by the WBC

Following his enthralling win over Deontay Wilder in October, Tyson Fury was on the lookout for his next opponent. Initially, the WBC ordered Fury to fight Dillian Whyte, the WBC interim champion. However, due to legal hassles, the WBC canceled the fight.

After weeks of deliberation, the WBC has officially ordered Tyson Fury’s next fight. He will take on Dillian Whyte for the WBC title. The fight is currently in a period of free negotiations. If both sides cannot reach an agreement for the fight, the WBC will order a purse bid.

The WBC has ordered the start of the free negotiating period pursuant to the rules & regulations for the mandatory bout between heavyweight champ Tyson Fury & interim champ Dillian Whyte.

The one thing that is clear is that ‘The Body Snatcher’ will finally get his long-awaited title shot and it could take place in England.

Per Keith Idec: “Been told that sometime in March either in Cardiff or Manchester for Fury-Whyte, if the 2 sides can come to an agreement before forcing a purse bid.”

The fight will be an all-English battle for the WBC heavyweight title. As the former training partners are not on the best of terms, there will be a lot of animosity going into the fight.
