Sex And The City fans everywhere can rejoice as Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kirstin Davis) are finally back to walk the streets of New York in the show’s reboot, And Just Like That – but who is new to the cast?

And Just Like That… dropped on NOW and Sky Comedy, with the first two episodes airing at 8 and 9am on the morning of Thursday, December 9.

Of course, as the show has not aired since 2004, a lot has changed in the busy Sex and the City world, with the women now in their 50s.

There are also some notable absences this time around as Kim Cattrall will not return as Samantha Jones.

She has famously been involved in a feud with former co-star Sarah, and viewers will soon get answers about what her character is up to in the meantime.

Despite Samantha missing from the main line-up, Sarah previously promised ‘lots of new interesting characters’ to TMZ.

There are four major additions to the already star-studded cast.

The actors are hoping to give a more diverse view of what it’s like to live in NYC in 2021, exploring different cultures, religions and identities.

Sara Ramirez plays Che Diaz

Sara plays the show’s first non-binary queer character Che Diaz, who acts as Carrie’s new boss and they will co-host a popular podcast.

‘They are a Mexican Irish American person who identifies as non-binary, they are bisexual, and they are a very dynamic, funny character that comes in and sort of challenges other characters internalized oppression,’ Ramirez said.

‘They are a character who unapologetically speaks their truth.’

Fans have previously suspected Che will be romantically involved with Miranda, with the pair having been spotted filming closely together.

Sara has most famously starred as Dr Callie Torres in Grey’s Anatomy, as a love interest for Dr George O’Malley (T.R. Knight) as well as co-starring in the fourth and fifth seasons of the CBS political drama Madam Secretary.

Sarita Choudhury plays Seema Patel

Sarita’s character Seema is a formidable self-made Manhattan real estate broker, who is single and on ALL the dating sites – we love her already.

Speaking about what fans can expect from Seema, Sarita told TODAY: ‘She’s so expensive. She’s outspoken. She doesn’t hold — no thoughts are private,’ Choudhury said. ‘Very unlike me … and she’s really funny, but mainly she’s just forthright.’

The English actress is best known for her role as Mira Nair in Mississippi Masala but has starred in other hit films such as The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 and Part 2 and The Green Knight.

Sarita previously admitted how she had to learn to walk in heels and practiced around her home in preparation for the role, where high shoes are a must.

Karen Pittman plays Dr Nya Wallace

Whilst much of the attention is on Carrie’s success and new friends, Karen’s character weaves her way into the show in a slightly different fashion, as she becomes close with Miranda.

Dr Nya Wallace is a Columbia Law professor who is happily married to her musician husband, Andre (LeRoy McClain).

She meets Miranda through her law class and the pair help each other work through the various problems they encounter whilst forming a very solid bond.

The actress has a long list of film and TV credits to her name including The Bourne Legacy, Detroit and Marvel series Luke Cage.

Karen has more recently starred in Yellowstone, and as Mia Jordan in The Morning Show alongside Jennifer Aniston and Reece Witherspoon.

Nicole Ari Parker plays Lisa Todd Wexley

Lisa will be introduced as a close friend of Carrie, who’s been described by HBO as ‘a Park Avenue mother of three and documentarian.’

She previously spoke out on being an African American actress added to a very much all-white cast when the show was on in the early 2000s.

Nicola reassured fans, telling Vogue: ‘The writers are skilful about having the characters, whether they’re of colour or not, acknowledge the newness they’re experiencing.

‘But it all fits in with the same beloved tone of the show.’

Fans will recognise the star from her role as Giselle Barker in Empire as well as Kat Crawford in Rosewood and as Terri Joseph in Soul Food.
