WWE Legend Blackjack Lanza Passes Away at 86, Triple H and Others React
The word of pro-wrestling lost yet another gem of a person in Jack Lanza, aka Blackjack Lanza, at the age of 86. The WWE Hall of Famer was directly linked to pro-wrestling from the mid-60s all the way to the 2000s.
The wrestling world mourns the death of Lanza, who was not just an excellent in-ring performer but also a person who understood the ins and outs of the business and was destined to change the landscape of professional wrestling.
During his lengthy tenure in the business, Lanza wrestled for various major wrestling promotions and settled with Vince McMahon’s WWE in his later years.
In the wake of his death, multiple WWE and former WWE superstars took to Twitter and shared their favorite moments with the legendary Lanza.

Triple H, Jim Ross, and many others shared their moments with Blackjack Lanza
The WWE COO, Triple H took to Twitter and confessed that whenever anyone in the wrestling industry needed someone to rely on, they’d go to Lanza.
‘The Game’ also recalled that Blackjack had a straightforward personality, and he always said what he felt, whether or not someone liked it.
“Certain talent will seek certain agents for advice, but EVERYONE sought out Lanza’s. The sweetest man but incredibly tough & 100% dedicated to making us better. Jack often didn’t tell you what you wanted to hear, but ALWAYS told you what you needed. I’ll miss you dearly my friend” wrote HHH.

Former WWE United States champion, Matt Hardy, also took to Twitter and shared his best memory with Lanza when Hardy was still a rookie in the business and Lanza gave him advice on how to be more productive.
“Jack Lanza was the lead road agent when my brother & I first started full time with @WWE. Jack treated us great & taught us so much about working & surviving on the road. Saddened to hear about Jack’s passing. My thoughts go out to his family & loved ones.” Hardy wrote.

Former WWE Head of Talent Relations, Jim Ross has been around the pro-wrestling industry for over four decades, and he was shocked to hear the passing of Jack Lanza. However, he also revealed that Lanza was WWE’s lead agent during its Attitude Era.
“Just heard from old, Winnipeg friend Bob Holliday that Jack Lanza has passed away at the age of 86. Jack was our lead agent during the Attitude Era. Helluva hand.” Ross wrote.

The wrestling world is devastated by the news of Blackjack’s passing. However, this doesn’t mean that his legacy is gone. We stand with Lanza’s family during this tough time and wish them well.
