Will there be another series of Gogglebox?

Another series of Gogglebox has come to an end, with the Channel 4 programme drawing to a close for 2021.

The 18th series began in September this year, with its stars delivering entertainment, laughs and tears as they reacted to huge news stories including the fuel crisis in the UK and the latest updates on the pandemic.

They have also watched the shows sparking conversations across the nation, such as Squid Game, Vigil, The Great British Bake Off and Strictly Come Dancing.

As usual, the fan favourites among the Gogglebox cast mirrored exactly how viewers at home would react to massive TV moments, such as when Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice sparked waterworks with their moving silent dance routine on Strictly.

The reality series has been going since 2013, with many viewers undoubtedly hoping there are many more years left in store.

Will Gogglebox be back for another season?

Following tonight’s season finale, there are still a few Gogglebox episodes left to enjoy this year and the next.

Next week, a special highlights show for Celebrity Gogglebox 2021 will air on Channel 4, with a highlights special for Gogglebox following a week later.

There will also be a festive edition of the programme, which is due to air in January 2022.

As for another season, the broadcaster is yet to confirm whether Gogglebox will be back for series 19.

However, we’re holding out hope that it will happen. It has to, surely?!

How can you watch Gogglebox?

Gogglebox is released on a weekly basis at 9pm when the series is airing.

Series seven to 18 are also available to watch on Channel 4’s on demand platform, All 4.

Dame Maureen Lipman recently revealed that she had quit Celebrity Gogglebox, as she’d had enough of reacting to shows such as Naked Attraction.

Speaking on Loose Women, the Coronation Street star said that she felt that she’s ‘run through her period’ of delivering shocked reactions to TV clips.

Gogglebox returns tonight at 9pm on Channel 4.
