WWE and AEW legend Chris Jericho has been hospitalised during his band Fozzy’s UK tour.
The former world champion – who now works for All Elite Wrestling – is currently on these shores for a series of shows but tonight’s show at Sin City in Swansea will not go ahead as Jericho is dealing with a ‘non Covid related, treatable health issue’.
In a statement on the venue’s Facebook page on Thursday night, they said: ‘Tonight we were devastated to learn that Fozzy will have to cancel their planned date with us in Swansea tomorrow.’
They included a statement from the band, which read: ‘Chris was checked into Hospital by doctors, with a non Covid related, treatable health issue. Regrettably the show on Friday in Swansea is cancelled and all tickets will be refunded.
‘Will have updates on Saturdays show in Nottingham and Sunday’s show in London as soon as possible.’
Sin City has apologised for the ‘unavoidable shortness of the notice we can bring you’, as they wished Jericho ‘an incredibly speedy recovery’.
They added: ‘We can only apologise with the unavoidable shortness of the notice we can bring you. We assure you that in a year of closure and rearranged shows, we are devastated to have to remain closed once again.
‘We wish Chris an incredibly speedy recovery. We very much hope he and the band are able to complete their UK tour and return safely to their families for Christmas.
‘Any question or queries can be sent to info@sincityclub.co.uk and we’ll get back to you as soon as we’re back in the office tomorrow.’

Chris and the band are yet to offer any further statement yet, but several fans have replied to the announcement and revealed they have already received refunds.
The band had already played shows in Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Dublin, Belfast, Chester, Birmingham and Bournemouth.
They were due to perform in Swansea tonight, followed by a gig in Nottingham and then one final show at London’s Islington Academy.
