Marvel confirms release date for blockbuster Eternals on Disney+

Disney+ has announced that Marvel Studios’ Eternals will be joining their streaming service.
As one of the biggest movies of the year, fans will surely be thrilled to watch the blockbuster from the comfort of their own homes.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s newest team of superheroes has led film fanatics on an exciting journey spanning thousands of years, and now the Eternals are bringing all of that signature Marvel Studios’ action, spectacle and thrill to Disney+.
Eternals will join 13 other Marvel movies now streaming on IMAX Enhanced on Disney+, which gives subscribers more picture with an expanded aspect ratio, creating a viewing experience so immersive, it feels like you’re watching in the cinema.
Eternals will start streaming exclusively on Disney+ in the UK & Ireland on January 12 2022.
The movie follows a group of heroes from beyond the stars who had protected the Earth since the dawn of time.
When monstrous creatures called the Deviants, long thought lost to history, mysteriously return, the Eternals are forced to reunite in order to defend humanity once again.
The film is directed by Chloé Zhao, with Kevin Feige and Nate Moore as producers, and has an all-star cast.
The outstanding ensemble cast includes Gemma Chan as humankind-loving Sersi, Richard Madden as the all-powerful Ikaris, Salma Hayek as the wise and spiritual leader Ajak, and Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena.

Musician Harry Styles also makes his Marvel debut at the end of the film, starring as Thanos’s brother Eros.
The Watermelon Sugar hitmaker surprised everyone when he popped up briefly in the post-credits scene, since his involvement in the project was kept tightly under wraps.

The film has been a smash hit already, despite only being released last month.
It’s grossed $385million (£290m) at the box office, making it the ninth-highest-grossing film of 2021.
Watch Eternals on Disney+ on January 12.
