Sami Zayn threatens to sue WWE officials and more over Brock Lesnar assault

Sami Zayn wasn’t happy on WWE SmackDown as he threatened legal action over his recent attack at the hands of Brock Lesnar.

The former Intercontinental Champion has been embroiled in a feud with the Beast Incarnate over the last couple of weeks after he earned himself a Universal Championship match against Roman Reigns.

On last week’s show, Lesnar brilliantly intimidated Zayn – in an overly friendly but threatening manner – to take his title shot that very night, which he agreed to do in the main event.

However, things didn’t go to plan for poor Sami as Brock came out and ended up delivering multiple German Suplexes and an F-5, leaving him propped up in the corner waiting for his match with Roman.

The Tribal Chief then came out and, once the bell hand rung, hit a Spear and locked his challenger in the guillotine choke for a quick win.

This week, Sami kicked off the show in a wheelchair flanked by two nurses as he ranted about the previous week, and threatened to sue anyone involved in him losing his title shot, including the likes of Adam Pearce, Sonya Deville and the referee, as well as Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman.

Of course, this didn’t go to plan for Zayn as Paul Heyman was the first to interrupt him as he tried to address the fans before Sami threatened to beat him up, only for Lesnar to storm the ring.

Brock sat down opposite Zayn, joking with him and even inviting his fellow superstar to go hunting, which was obviously turned down as Sami noted his vegan lifestyle.

Heyman then ranted, building up Brock to the point he snapped and utterly destroyed the nurses and then Sami, nailing him with an F-5 – and making fans wonder if the Advocate is back in the Beast’s corner once more.

There was more to come on that front during the night, as Heyman looked legitimately concerned when backstage interview Kayla Braxton asked what Roman – who is set to return next week – would think of him seemingly backing Lesnar.

Later, Brock also met Adam Pearce in his office and said his $1 million fine went to charity, while he spent most of his suspension hunting, and killed a giant moose – which naturally he named after the WWE official.

With Reigns set to return next week on SmackDown, there are plenty of directions this storyline can take.

*WWE SmackDown airs Friday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
