Strictly’s Rose Ayling-Ellis slams Giovanni Pernice’s ‘smelly breath’ in live TV gaffe

STRICTLY Come Dancing’s Rose Ayling-Ellis had fans in hysterics after slamming partner Giovanni Pernice’s ‘smelly breath’.

The pair first dance was a waltz to Ellie Goulding’s How Long Will I Love You and they bagged themselves an impressive score 39.

But it was in their post-dance interview that Rose gave up a little bit too much information about her pro partner.

Host Claudia Winkleman quizzed them about their second dance – an Argentine Tango – and what viewers could expect.

The tango is famed for being a romantic and saucy dance that sees the partners dance very close to each other.

Rose told Claudia that their dance was: “passionate, traditional, very, very close.”

And then she dropped the bombshell: “and smelly breath,” she said while waving her hand under her nose.

A shocked Giovanni turned her back to her, as Rose realised what she’d said.

She laughed and apologised, as Giovanni turned back and gave her a hug.

Viewers at home thought it was hilarious, saying they loved “Rose and Gio’s relationship”.

“P***ing myself at rose saying gio has smelly breath,” wrote one fan on Twitter.

Another added: “My heart. @RoseAylingEllis and @pernicegiovann1 are so good! That sweet little kiss at the end brought the tears and then Rose brought the laughs with that smelly breath comment.”

And a third wrote: “omg this girl is so beautiful to watch. She still amazes me what she can do. Then she cracks me up by saying smelly breath. I love her I love them together! Final final final.”

It comes as the EastEnders actress, 27, was less than impressed with the sweaty result of her very sexy rehearsal with Giovanni ahead of tonight’s semi-final.

They had to get very close to reenact the sexy Argentine tango, but Rose complained that Giovanni was very sweaty.

In a clip aired on It Takes Two, Giovanni is seen shouting at Rose to stop complaining about how sweaty he is.

“People would pay to touch this sweat,” he yelled as Rose laughed in amusement.

He then rushed over to her, to embrace her close and added: “People would pay to be this close to me.”
