Rochelle Humes, Phillip Schofield and Dermot O’Leary were all in good spirits as they joined members of the This Morning crew for a festive gathering in Notting Hill on Friday, as their former colleague Eamonn Holmes announced his new role on GB News.

They dined at swanky west London restaurant the Brasseria as they wrapped up their presenting duties for the year, although Phillip’s co-host Holly Willoughby was nowhere to be seen.

Saturdays singer-turned-TV Presenter Rochelle was dressed for the weather in a long checked coat as she chatted with friends, among them Managing Director of Daytime at ITV Studios Emma Gormley, outside the venue.

Phil paired his checked shirt (almost but not quite matching Rochelle’s coat) with a blazer, while Dermot also opted for a suitably elegant tailored jacket.

During the night, Phil was snapped in deep conversation with show producer Martin Frizell.

Their night out came amid Eamonn’s announcement of his appointment at GB News, following his departure from This Morning after 15 years on the series.

The TV presenter, 62, will host a new programme in the New Year, GB News confirmed.

‘I’ve spent my career on broadcasting firsts and start-ups, and GB News is one of the most exciting yet. It’s just the kind of shake-up the industry needs,’ he said in a statement.

He added: ‘I’ve admired GB News from the beginning for its clever mix of punchy debate but delivered with warmth and even some fun.

‘To me the greatest honour in journalism is to give a voice and respect to the unheard, and that’s exactly what GB News is all about.’

Eamonn joined This Morning in 2006, hosting the show’s Friday episode with his wife Ruth Langsford until earlier this year when Dermot and Alison Hammond took over.

Next week, Josie Gibson and Vernon Kay are set to replace Phil and Holly on the show as the pair go on their break.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
