WWE SmackDown results, grades: Brock Lesnar decimates wheelchair-bound Sami Zayn

Poor Sami Zayn had a rough night on WWE SmackDown as Brock Lesnar unleashed another beating on him for the second week in a row.
Friday’s show kicked off brilliantly as Sami appeared in a wheelchair flanked by two nurses after getting taken out last week with multiple German Suplexes and an F-5 before losing to Roman Reigns in his Universal Championship match.
Zayn – who threatened legal action – hailed himself as the toughest man in all of WWE because it was both Lesnar and Reigns that put him in this state, as he called out the Beast for betraying him.
Paul Heyman came out to interrupt and address the fans before Sami threatened to beat him up, only for Lesnar to storm the ring.
He sat down opposite Zayn, and joking with him and even invited the (vegan) superstar to go hunting, which was obviously turned down.
Heyman then ranted, building up Brock to the point he snapped and utterly destroyed the nurses and then Sami, nailing him with an F-5.
There was plenty of drama still to come during the night, as Heyman looked legitimately worried when Kayla Braxton asked what Roman – who is set to return next week – would think of him seemingly backing Lesnar for a moment.
Later, Lesnar meets Adam Pearce in his office and said his $1 million fine went to charity and he spent his suspension hunting, and killed a giant moose – which he named after Pearce himself.
This was great stuff – Brock being this overly-friendly and showing off his sense of humour has been fantastic.
Xia Li saves Naomi on debut, Charlotte Flair destroys Toni Storm and more
In the opening match of the night, Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs made very quick work of Los Lotharios in a baffling move.
This helps no one really, and just makes Humberto and Angel look terrible after weeks of them picking up wins.
Backstage, Kofi Kingston presented King Woods – more from them later – with a new crown, and the royal star hyped up the night’s main event.
Sheamus and Drew McIntyre were always going to put on a hard-hitting display (Picture: WWE)
Drew McIntyre’s still not happy about being excluded from the recent Black Friday Battle Royal, and he stuck his sword Angela into Pearce’s desk in response.
He did have a good night in-ring though, as the Scottish Warrior beat Sheamus in a fantastic hard-hitting bout, while Cesaro watched on backstage.
Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss were then seen stealing Pearce’s desk – including the sword – which suggests their feud with Drew will keep on rolling.

Sonya Deville came out for her match with Naomi but quickly made her plan clear as she introduced Natalya as special guest ring announcer and Shayna Baszler as timekeeper.
Naomi started to take out Natalya and Baszler before the debuting Xia Li made an fine entrance to a great reaction, helping her clear the ring of the villains.
Deville was able to escape Naomi’s moonsault, and we could be lined up for a blockbuster ta match at Day 1.

From the good side of SmackDown’s storylines to the bad, Toni Storm sort of beat Charlotte Flair an admittedly good bout via disqualifiction before the Queen continued the attack with one more shot to stand tall.
Hopefully Toni gets her revenge soon, because this doesn’t seem to be doing her many favours.
Finally, in a huge main event The New Day defeated The Usos – who they will battle for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles at Day 1 – and Raw champs RK-Bro (Randy Orton and Riddle) in a great main event.
*WWE SmackDown airs Friday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
