Ex-WWE star Braun Strowman makes shock appearance at Ring of Honor: Final Battle

Braun Strowman and FTR made shock appearances at Ring of Honor: Final Battle as the likes of CM Punk and Bryan Danielson paid tribute to the company.
The former WWE superstar and AEW tag team both turned up during an emotional night for the influential independent promotion, which is now going on hiatus until April and releasing all wrestlers from their contracts by the end of the year.
Strowman – now going by his real name Adam Scherr – made his presence felt after EC3 joined The Foundation in a losing effort against Violence Unlimited and Rocky Romero.
EC3 then started to hype up his experimental Control Your Narrative events, which led to Eli Isom, Brian Johnson and Dak Draper surrounding him in the ring.
He then urged Johnson to ‘free the Titan’, which brought out the man formerly known as the Monster Among Men, who laid out Isom after EC3 branded this an ‘awakening’.
Meanwhile, FTR duo Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler – who appeared as The Revival in WWE before making the jump to AEW – also turned up following the ROH World Tag Team Title match between the Briscoe Brothers and The OGK.
Mark and Jay Briscoe beat Matt Taven and Mike Bennett for the gold, with Jay then paying tribute to ROH and the fans.
He insisted while this is the end of an era for the company, it doesn’t mean the end for the Briscoes as he laid down a challenge for any time.
The lights went out and when they came up, FTR were there, which sparked a brawl until security got between the two teams with Dax and Cash holding up the gold before the four men started fighting again outside the ring.

There were also a number of guest appearances in videos throughout the night as the likes of Bryan Danielson, CM Punk, Adam Cole and The Young Bucks reflected on their time in Ring of Honor.
Elsewhere on the show, Jonathan Gresham defeated Jay Lethal to win the classi ROH World Heavyweight Championship, while Rok-C retained her Women’s World Title over WIllow Nightingale.
