UFC bantamweight Julianna Pena shocked the world at UFC 269 by submitting women’s MMA GOAT Amanda Nunes. ‘The Venezuelan Vixen’ sunk in a lethal RNC after going to way against Nunes in the feet in round two. Pena stood in the pocket and traded with Amanda Nunes who wasn’t able to keep up with the constant flurry.
Chiefly, Pena’s jab set up her offense in round two and she was able to land on ‘The Lioness’ at will. The Brazilian fighter also appeared fatigued and she became defensively irresponsible as the fight played out.

The finish was spurred on by a clutch trip takedown that Julianna Pena managed to land on Nunes. After securing ground control, Pena jumped on the opportunity to sink in an RNC and managed to get the tap. This is a historic win for Julianna Pena who came in as a massive underdog on all the lines.

There will certainly be an immediate rematch lined up for Amanda Nunes who will look to return with a sense of fury. This is her first loss since September 2014 when she lost to Cat Zingano.
